BY PAYING A PHOTOGRAPHER - YOU DECIDE THE PHOTO SHOOT CONTENT AND KNOW WHEN THE IMAGES WILL BE AVAILABLE. |
SYNDICATION AND TIME FOR PRINTS ARE TWO WAYS OF WORKING WITH PHOTOGRAPHERS TO BUILD A PORTFOLIO AT MINIMUM COST
BUT THIS CAN TAKE TIME TO GET ALL THE IMAGES YOUR PORTFOLIO NEEDS!
Models wishing to work on a SYNDICATION or TFP basis are invited to introduce themselves and should contact me through my 'contact us' page.
Please note however that my time for TFP/TFCD is VERY limited!
I do only a few TF shoots a year when I have a specific need and only when it benefits both the model and me to do so!

SYNDICATION PHOTO SHOOTS
Syndication is a term used to describe a partnership between a photographer and model, where neither pays or receives a fee for the photo shoot. The photographs are then offered to magazines and similar publications and the money received from publication fees being shared between the model and photographer.
This type of modelling usually fits into editorial ‘stock photography’ and ‘glamour’ areas.
I can offer opportunities to new models that have not been published previously and have not yet been photographed for publication. If you wish to work on a syndication basis please get in touch with your availability and any ideas you have.
TIME FOR PRINTS.
Time for Prints (TFP) modelling is a way for a model to extend their portfolio and get studio and photo session experience at minimum or no cost.
More recently these sessions have become 'Time for CD' (TFCD) where a CD or DVD containing digital images is given to the model.
Instead of paying a modelling fee, the photographer rewards the model for her time with pictures that can be used in her portfolio and the photographer can use the models time for a variety of purposes such as testing new equipment, lighting, experimental techniques or increasing the photographers own portfolio.
For example a half day photo shoot usually produces around 300 images before editing and around 15 after editing and retouching - not bad for FREE!
The down side of TFP for the model is that the photographer decides the photo shoot content and what images the model will get.
When making enquiries about 'syndication' or 'time for prints' work with me it is helpful to provide a facial/head & figure shot, your statistics, dress size etc., and what type of modelling you are available for or wish to be considered for.
The general conditions applied to SYNDICATION & TFP work by f8 Photo Shots - Graham Betts Photography are:
- No money will exchange hands between the photographer and model for the photo shoot who will each meet their own expenses.
- f8 Photo Shots - Graham Betts Photography will provide to the model a CD/DVD of selected pictures taken at the shoot.
- The model is required to sign a full unrestricted model release for all images.
- The model has full and free use of the images for personal portfolio and promotional purposes.
- No commericial use of the images by the model is permitted.
- Syndication fee percentages will be agreed in advance.
